AM Worship (17/5)

By Iain Clements, 13 May 2020

As we are unable to gather together at present, here is an order of worship for you to use in your homes.

The Youtube videos are of hymns you can sing along with. Use of the videos doesn't necessarily indicate agreement with the source of the clips.

CALL TO WORSHIP

"Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul! I will praise the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being." Psalm 146:1-2

HYMN - GIVE TO OUR GOD IMMORTAL PRAISE

CONFESSION OF SIN

Gracious Lord, we confess that we dishonour you in our thoughts, words and deeds. Depending on our own strength, we stumble. Glorying in our own righteousness, we reject you. Turning our faces from you, we desire the things of this world to satisfy use. We pray now, Lord, for you to forgive all of our many sins; to cleanse the darkness from our lives, and to turn our faces and hearts back to you. We pray these things in the name of your most precious son, Jesus Christ. Amen

ASSURANCE OF PARDON

"I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD", and you forgave the iniquity of my sin." Psalm 32:5

BENEDICTION

"Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." Hebrews 13:20-21
