"The LORD reigns; let the peoples tremble! He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake! The LORD is great in Zion; he is exalted over all the peoples." Psalm 99:1-3

HYMN - O God, Our Help In Ages Past

Our Father in heaven

Hallowed be your name

Your kingdom come

Your will be done

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread

Forgive us our sins as we forgive

those who sin against us.

Lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For yours is the kingdom,

the power and the glory

for ever and ever.

Gracious Lord, we confess that we dishonour you in our thoughts, words and deeds. Depending on our own strength, we stumble. Glorying in our own righteousness, we reject you. Turning our faces from you, we desire the things of this world to satisfy us. We pray now, Lord, for you to forgive all of our many sins; to cleanse the darkness from our lives, and to turn our faces and hearts back to you. We pray these things in the name of your most precious son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

"Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's" Psalm 103:2-5
